An important meeting of farmers of the area was convened under the leadership of Baba Harbans Singh Rawal at Gurdwara Singh Sabha in village Balana of Ambala. The meeting was attended by a large number of farmers including intellectuals from the area. In this meeting, along with discussing the demands of the farmers, the name of the new Kisan Jathebandi Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Kisan Jathebandi was announced, which will aim to unite all the Jathebandis and fight the battle of the farmers under the guidance of Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
