In Haryana, where Dial 112 was deployed by the government for quick service and it was being praised across the state, now a case tarnishing the image of Dial 112 has come to the fore from Yamuna Nagar, where a complaint has been lodged against the policemen posted on Dial 112. It has come to the notice that in a planned manner, he has robbed a person from Himachal. In the complaint, Anil, a resident of Paonta Sahib, told that he owns a hotel and college in Himachal, for which he was going towards Yamunanagar in his car with 7 lakhs to buy furniture. On the way after Pratap Nagar, a young man asked him for a lift. He made him sit thinking that he was a student. After some time, the young man stopped the car to drink water and started again. After a while, the young man took action again on the pretext of mobile network and he made a phone call and dial 112 reached there in a few seconds and 3 policemen in uniform and one in plain uniform were stationed there. After which the five together searched his car and all of them ran away with the 7 lakhs kept in the bag in his car.
A passer-by gave the number of Pratap Nagar police station to the victim, after which Pratap Nagar police station also reached the spot and took his complaint.
SHO Rakesh Rana told that the investigation of the case is going on. The main accused and his associates are still absconding. Police say that soon everyone will be under control and this matter will be disclosed.
These policemen have put a blot on the Haryana Police, which gave the slogan of service, security and cooperation. There is probably no need to say how much faith the public has on the police. But such incidents will not reduce the gulf between the public and the policemen, but will create more gulf of mistrust. For the time being, it has to be seen whether the robber policemen's intention was only to loot or something else.
