Villagers have claimed to have found archaeological remains during the digging of a pond being done under the Amrit Sarovar scheme in the historical village Topra Kalan of the sub-division. Local villagers Rohit Panjeta, Ram Ratan Nehra, Ishwar Basati, Suresh Panjeta, Pradeep Garg, Sandeep Topra, Subhash Basati, Sapinder Kumar told that excavation work is being done near Ramkundi site, some old bricks were found during excavation. IsTherefore, there is a demand from the government of the villagers that once the survey of this place should be done by the Archaeological Department, only then the work of excavation should be done here. So that the archaeological remains can be preserved in time.
